Posters and Art
Key to CGTFest's mission is supporting and producing works by South Florida theatre artists, and the most fitting way to represent those works graphically is through partnerships with Miami visual artists to produce posters and other art work to showcase the Festival and its stories.

Coconut Grove Thetare Festival Logo
Designed by Coconut Grove architect and cartoonist, Cooper Copetas, the CGTFest logo imagines the classic tragedy and comedy masks as portrayed by Coconut Grove's signature animal: the peacock. Flipping comedy to come first to suit the whimsy of South Florida, the CGTFest logo captures CGTFest's core values: world class, distinctly Miami theatre.

Art and Design by Cooper Copetas
Coconut Grove Artist and Architect Cooper Copetas set the visual style for CGTFest, both with his instantly iconic CGTFest peacock logo, and with the inaugural year's poster art. Inspired by the banquet scenes of Albert Uderzo's Asterix and Obelix, Copetas' poster imagines the main characters of the eight CGTFest 2025 plays (along with several peacocks and other Grove fauna) celebrating together in front of CGTFest partner and host, the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove, while a silhouetted audience looks on. The first image showcases Copetas' original design, while the second image features the published version, with CGTFest 2025 Communications Director Melanie Rodríguez's graphic design work having finalized the poster for print and publishing.
The eclectic casts of characters on display showcases the range and specificity of the stories CGTFest presents, in it's inaugural year and beyond. Featured characters, starting from lower left and going clockwise: Bo (The Queer Séance at #3 Sutton Place), Father Chris (Humanization), Ray and Lex (When the Sea Wall Cracks), White Harlequin (The Death of Kings: An Encyclopedia), Amelia Beauchamp (The Feral Spinster Society), Liberty City Red (Liberty City Vignettes), Anna Scholl (Turbo Hybrid), Joshua (A Shiva for Joseph: Day Two).
Alice in WonderGrove (2025)
Art by Cooper Copetas

CGTFest returned 5 months after its inaugural festival to present Alice in WonderGrove, an original 15 minute children's play, presented in partnership with the Coconut Grove BID as part of their Halloween event of the same name. And returning with us was Copetas and his art. Weaving in the established CGTFest color palette, Copetas gave the classic White Rabbit iconography a Grovite spin (and dining companion), setting the stage for a version of Alice unlike any seen before.
CGTFest 2026 Poster
Art by Anastasia Samoylova
For the 2nd Annual Festival, CGTFest was delighted and honored to partner with award winning South Florida artist Anastasia Samoylova, who's photography, painting, and installations have been the subject of multiple solo exhibitions at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Saatchi Gallery, and Fundación MAPFRE, among others. Incorporating Albino Peacock from her Now Voyager exhibition, Samoylova's stunning poster is a hybrid work formed by overlaying a photograph with poured and dripped paint, the perfect thematic representation of CGTFest's second year which featured new collaborations with music and history on stage, and food and drink partnerships with Grove favorites. Featuring the CGTFest logo in its white colorway, 2026's poster heralded the next chapter in CGTFest's continually evolving story.

CGTFest 2026 Individual Play Art
Art by Ana Lucia Torres
To showcase the unique spirit of each of the 2026 CGTFest plays, emerging artist and FIU student, Ana Torres joined the team. A creative in multiple mediums, with a passion towards motion design, cinematography and photography, Torres drew from CGTFest's past art to develop her concept for 2026's style, continuing the established visual legacy while moving towards a watercolor inspired, hand painted aesthetic. Torres met with the production team to discuss each play and its imagery, as well as consulted the scripts, and devised seven striking key visuals to represent each distinct story. With titles, credits and showtime graphic design added by 2026 Marketing Director Angela Betancourt, these 7 posters capture the unity in variety of the magically different stories that CGTFest 2026 brought to life.
